What's covered in the Workbooks?
The Workbooks are a key part of the process that help you absorb, reinforce and apply what you see during the case studies. Each workbook includes over 450 questions, concepts and ideas and contains knowledge gained from over 11,000 hours of business coaching interactions. The questions are exactly the same as a business coach would ask you in a 1-to-1 coaching session and are designed to get you thinking at a high level about your business.
Why does the marketing workbook contain questions on so many other different topics?
Each Workbook is focused on a specific topic, e.g. marketing, people, money, operations or strategy. The majority of the questions in each workbook target the core subject area. However, about 20% of the questions cross over into other topics. There are three reasons for this:
- In the general running of a business, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to focus on one topic in isolation
- The questions cover important topics and are reiterated at different points throughout the volumes
- Moving between topics keeps you more alert and reinforces key points
